Under the CSR initiative of Muthoot Finance, 50 lady bicycles were distributed to tribal girl students to promote education by providing transportation facilities in collaboration with Gaivanti Devi Intermediate College at Mohiuddinpur, Conn, Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh on 20 November 24.

The distribution was done by Mr. Vijay Kumar Tripathi, Regional Manager- Varanasi in the presence of Mrs. Rubi Mishra, Kone Block Pramukh; Mr. DP Shukla, Vigilance Officer, RO- Varanasi; Mr. Dilip Kumar, Manager- CSR, Mr. Ravi Kannaujiya, School Principal; Mr. Ved Ojha, Founder of Digital Sathi Foundation, and other teachers, guardians and students.

Sonbhadra District is an aspirational district (under developed) and the Government of India and many Corporates are also working to transform and develop it effectively.

Being a hilly area, there is a lack of transport facilities and their parents cannot afford private transport. Girls walk many miles to study.

This initiative will prove to be very helpful for 50 tribal girl students in their education, mobility and independence.

It can also have a significant impact on empowering young girls by improving their access to education and mobility. It will support gender equality and socio-economic development, especially in tribal and hilly areas where transportation barriers exist. Such initiatives will not only meet the CSR goals but also contribute to broader community welfare and empowerment. With this they will also be able to commute to school by bicycle.
