Under the CSR initiative of the Muthoot Finance, 100 woolen blink blankets and shawls were distributed to the widows in association with Maitri Widows Homes at Vrindavan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

Vrindavan the city of temples is also known as the city of women in white. Women in white aka widows of Vrindavan, is a unique population, living in Vrindavan.

A woman and most of all a mother, is given a bowl to beg on the streets by the family and the community, rendering her disempowered and destitute.

Maitri Widow Home is committed to its beneficiaries till their end of journey in life.

The distribution was done by Mr. Dilip Kumar, Manager CSR CO (N)- Muthoot Finance, in the presence of Mr. Mahesh, Center In – Charge of Maitri Widows Home, other staff, and around 100 widows.

This initiative will be very helpful for widows and will provide protection from chilly winter of Vrindavan.

After receiving the woolen clothing, widows expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Muthoot Finance for this generous support and prayed to God for more strength to Muthoot Finance for continuing their support to the poor and underprivileged.
