Muthoot Finance as part of the CSR initiative has presented the Muthoot M George Excellence Awards to top performing students from Government Schools in Ernakulam District of Kerala. The glittering ceremony was conducted on 14th October 2023 at Infant Jesus Hall, near High Court Ernakulam. 122 Students studying in 8th & 9th grades from 61 Government Schools in Ernakulam District were awarded a cash prize worth Rs. 3000 per head along with a memento.

The event was presided over by Shri. George Alexander Muthoot – Managing Director, Muthoot Finance. The function was inaugurated by Shri. Hibi Eden – Member of Parliament, Ernakulam. Shri. Babu John Malayil – DGM, Corporate Communications; Shri. VC James – Independent Director, Muthoot Homefin and Shri. Vinod – Regional Manager, Ernakulam was present during the occasion.

As part of this CSR initiative, Muthoot Finance has earmarked a budget of Rs. 31,59,000 for this academic year. The company aims to benefit a total of 1053 students over the next months across various cities including Bangalore, Chennai, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Ernakulam, Kottayam, and Alleppey. Under Muthoot M George Excellence initiative, Muthoot Finance has disbursed a total spend of Rs. 2 crores over the past 10 years.
